The first week of studying online: impressions and difficulties
The first week of studying online has passed by, and today I’d like to share my impressions about it with you.
To begin with, it was really exciting! It’s really cool to see your teachers and groupmates on Zoom and realize that lots of them are in other cities of the country now. Indeed, studying has so many advantages! You can sleep in, put on your favorite shirt and not to take off your pajamas trousers :D Besides, you can easily turn on your computer and open the Zoom session in a blink, whereas it takes you about 40 minutes to get to university because of traffic jams.
My groupmates make these sessions more engaging as some of them change their nicknames and send jokes in the chat, and teachers make the sessions as effective as if we was in university because we still get necessary information.
However, there are some disadvantages of distance learning. The most obvious one is homework. It seems to me we get much more homework than usually because “the big brother (the Dean’s office) is watching” us. But all these Zoom sessions in general turned out not to be as scary and difficult as I thought, and this way of learning actually isn’t so bad.
Anyway, there is a lot to learn and much to do, because I also found a part-time job from home and it’s important for me to juggle work and studies. So now there is not so much free time because there is always something to check, write, watch and read. Sometimes it’s quite difficult, but at the same time it’s really exciting, because I’ve never tried to combine these things (I’ve either worked in summer, or studied in the rest of the year).
Well, that’s it. I hope you liked this post. :)
